Porterhouse Grill in Baden-Baden

Really good meat, excellent preparation and very friendly service! Was there for the second time and really have nothing to complain about. You have to be willing to pay a little more for that. We definitely are and we'd love to come back. Have also paid less money for terrible food, every euro paid hurts ... you save on the wrong corner. If you like to eat a good steak, you've come to the right place!

Amazing food and beautiful ambience! One day before the 2nd Lockdown LIGHT we spent a wonderful evening in the Porterhouse. Great ambience, super nice service, absolutely tasty food, beautifully presented. Thanks for that. :-)

Excellent service, food too. Tip top quality

In the beginning it was very comfortable and the waiter was very friendly and nice, the food was delicious and came to the table quickly. Until we had to pay, waiter came and made us feel as if we were the second kind, was cheeky, you could see that the man has no desire or pleasure in creating. Never again.

Nice restaurant, nice service and delicious food

🍖🥩 The food is delicious. Except the ribs I ordered which were a little bit to dry, everything else was great, especially the sweet potato fries. 💸The biggest problem is the price: this restaurant is expensive, especially compared to others in town. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️ The staff is polite, but makes mistakes. They forgot to bring pepper when I asked; not having pepper in a grill is a big mistake. Moreover, they gave us the wrong bill (from another table). 🏘️ The restaurant is slitly afar from the center.

There were three of us at the Porterhouse Grill on a Thursday evening and initially pleasantly surprised by the ambience and the possibility of being able to take a seat inside or outside, although the reservation over the phone didn't really work out. In contrast to her male colleague, the service lady made a much more relaxed, calmer and more cordial impression. We were kindly advised by her that the Tomahawk steak needs a preparation time of 45 minutes, which we wanted to compensate with a starter. Unfortunately, our tartare and salads only arrived 35 minutes after ordering. The tartar was good, but the summer salads were well below the options for € 8. After another 20 minutes our tamahawk came, which was carved by the slightly stressed-looking waiter at the next table and was not presented as "medium" but "rare", which we looked away because we were hungry. Unfortunately, after serving, you could already see that the good piece of cow was criss-crossed with many tendons. In the meantime we have also heard from other guests who complained about the quality and cooking levels of their meat choices, given the rather self-confident prices in this restaurant. The soups and fries were good and tasty, the potato gratin had a soapy aftertaste, the meat was unfortunately quite tough and not fun to eat. We couldn't enjoy the delicious fries again because they were obviously out and had to be replaced with sweet potato fries. These were as expected, but the fact that fries go out in a steakhouse somehow fitted this unfortunate evening. When clearing the dishes, the service had to admit that the kitchen wouldn't have its best day today and at least apologized with a digestif on the house. Conclusion: it's a shame when you spend so much money on service and food quality that is not convincing. We will not be back and cannot recommend the restaurant!

Really really tasty definitely to be recommended! I recommend the BBQ burger !!

The worst burger I’ve had for a very long time. A flat and almost burned through patty dripping barbecue sauce between dry bread slides with large chunks of cucumbers and tomatoes. First and last time!

Friendly staff and good steaks in diferent style

The waitress was always very distracted. An expired drink was served. The food was good but everything is paid for separately. Meat, side dish and sauce (approx. € 4 alone) This is how the initially reasonable prices turn into a juicy bill.

Super friendly staff and great service. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the truffle mashed potatoes were out of this world. Check out their menu, very well priced cuts. Highly recommended if you fancy a chilled steakhouse!

Came here after being let down by Le Bistro,which was shocking.Great service and food, and well priced. Definately worth a visit.

We are here often and with pleasure. But for our wedding day there was a special menu, a lovingly decorated table and of course our favorite food: mixed tartare and the main course Châteaubriand! It was a really nice evening! Many thanks

Very cozy evening with delicious food. We were completely satisfied. It could hardly be better.

The food was good. The restaurant is at a busy intersection. It was relatively loud.

We went as a group (10 people) with a reservation. We got the card immediately, but "had to" wait 45 minutes for the waiter until we could place our food order, despite repeated requests, others who came after us were served. We had to wait about an hour and a half for the food, the guests who came after us got their food in front of us, maybe because most of them were only there in pairs and the cook was able to cope faster. We were only put off by the waiter after asking, there was no excuse. The food was very good and very tasty, there was nothing to complain about. We were asked if we wanted barbecue sauce, three of us wanted this and we got three small bottles with barbecue which each cost 4 euros. I can recommend the food to everyone, but not the service, it can of course be because there were ten of us, but that doesn't excuse the service.

Nice restaurant but the service and atmosphere for us Suisse Romand is really very unpleasant. The waitress is not really what she does. The food was good especially the meat. The open wine was really good

This is my second time in this restaurant. I also recommend it for several friends. The atmosphere was relaxing , the waitress was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, the average bill for 2 persons is 50-70€ (without wine)

Went here tonight and had two Entrecôte American Rib eye steaks. They were fatty and hammered flat to less than 1/2cm thick. Honestly the worst steaks I have ever eaten and quite how this place is rated over 4* is a complete mystery! €120 for two people without wine for one course of something less appealing than Burger King!

Excellent food and service.

I was very excited. Although it's a steakhouse, I had an overwhelming appetite for a burger. The bread rolls were not as you know them, but rather a kind of bakery bun, so no typical brioche bun. That made me a bit startled at first, but was something different and still very tasty. The ingredients were fresh and the overall picture was consistent. The patty was medium (as it likes), tasty and juicy. For this I have ordered, also rather untypically, fried potatoes. They were also very well made, with a crunchy crust and "stable". By that I do not mean lazy and dripping with fat. Also the service was okay, even if we had to wait a bit at the beginning. But that was more than made up for later. Priced for Baden-Baden customary and therefore fair in view of the quality. Certainly not the last time there.

Amazing little gem. A great place to stop for a beer, but the food is amazing. A bit higher priced than your average tourist stop, but so worth it.

The steak was perfect, order entrecôte. Salad how ever wasn’t so good- not recommended. Place is nice and pretty empty. Price is reasonable
